Greetings Hitmen,
It's that time of year again to sign up to be a Home Sponsor (HS) for [Ca]dre Academy students. [Ca]dre is a wonderful, exciting and fulfilling ministry, of which you can be a part by providing a home for a student during the year. What an opportunity to be a part of missions right in the comfort of your own home! These guys work so hard for the church all year, doing so much for our different ministries and are such a blessing to everyone who has the opportunity to work with them. But the true blessing comes to those who have the privilege of housing these amazing kids. I know many of you have been prayerfully considering being a Home Sponsor for this next term and now is the time to make that commitment. Orientation/move-in is usually around Labor Day weekend.
If you've already signed up to be a HS, THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! If not, there are applications at the Welcome Center or you can get one online. They only require a bed to rest their tired bodies, some food (and you don't have to always prepare it) and a "family" while in the program. We need many homes this Fall and it would be great to have an abundance of homes to offer this year. Check out cadre academy on FB under "info" to gain insight into this amazing program. From a HS viewpoint, we housed two students last year for the first time and we were the ones blessed! There's wisdom to gain from these young people, and you just never know how God can and will use you to impact this generation. Trust me, you don't want to miss out.
