We are reaching out to our Hitmen seeking support for some for our dear brethren who are affected from last weeks storms. The Bentley house took a major hit last week when the storms came thru. They had a huge oak tree fall on their house making it uninhabitable. Some of their family helped to cleaning up some of the mess but it is going to be a long hard job. It was about an 80 mph wind that took the tree down and placed it in their den and bedroom. God watched out for and protected them as nobody was injured. When the roof collapsed Duwayne was standing in the only place in the room that held up. He is confident that God’s hand was holding him fast. At this time I don’t know what all they may need. Just wanted you to know about their situation so you could consider helping them as you are Spirit led. Please pray for them as they wade through this thing.

I wanted to make you all aware that we are looking for some Hit support assisting one of our single mothers in a move on Saturday March 27th. Jennifer Desilva is moving from Jacksonville to NLR and needs a few strong bodies to assist her in this. She has rented a truck and the Hit scout (Dean Fagaly) has indicated that he believes this can be done easily in the morning keeping the rest of your day free.

I just wanted to remind each of you that on Wednesday March 30th from 6:30-8:30 PM at the GLR campus, New Life Church will hold the Man2Man event. Our own Rick Bezet has a significant word just for the men of NLC and you don’t want to miss it!
There will be a hot rod automobile and motorcycle display on the apron of the main entrance an in the church lobby. There will be a meal served and of course an excellent opportunity to fellowship all the men of NLC.
The event will be MC’d by John Craft and Harry Bates – that alone should be shtick worth seeing! I look forward to seeing you all there and keep your eyes peeled for some upcoming hit opportunities.

We will be sending a construction team to Haiti to build homes. We will be staying on the compound Mission of Hope. The trip dates are September 24th through October 1st. Amber Noblit from GLR and Marcus Brown from Ft Smith will be on this team.

We have had a new request for a mission trip on Sept 24-Oct 1. We will be going to HAITI to build homes. We will have two pastors with us also. We will be having a meeting soon so stay tuned. I hope you are all well and enjoying this Super Bowl Sunday! What a great message from the founder of the LA Dream Center this morning. Talk about getting out and HITTING people! Pastor Matthew Barnett.
Speaking of HITS. This week we have two opportunities to serve our community. The first, is a simple moving of a washing machine (apt. size) from one of sisters homes to the NLC Little Rock Dream Center. Please contact me to be put in touch with the appropriate people. We also have a need to help move one of our single mothers. Although this is a Hit for anyone to support, the opportunity is closest to our Cabot men. On Saturday the 12th, Shannon Nash will be moving her belongings from a storage unit near the Cabot Wal-Mart to her new apartment (about 6 miles away). We could use about 6 Hitmen on the job and of course trucks or SUV’s that can be loaded are always good support. Again, contact me via the above listed means and I’ll ensure that the team is all hooked into each other.

Greetings Hitmen & Happy New Year,
Many of you whom have been with NLC for more than a couple of years may know Aaron & Darla Yount. They have been long time members of our church and lifted many within the body in times of need.
Sadly, Aaron dies last week of a massive stroke very unexpectedly and Darla can use our help with some minor things ASAP. Specifically, we need to get a crew together to clean the leaves from her yard for this Saturday. I need about 10 volunteers to help us clear leaves and pine needles from her yard. We will meet at Kerries Country Kitchen at 0700 this Saturday morning for breakfast and fellowship then we will head to Darla’s house.
The lot is about 1/2 acre located in West Little Rock. I don't see the leaves taking much time. However, there are a lot of pine needles, quite a lot. Our plan is to use some tarps, rake those needles, and leaves, onto the tarps and dump them across the street, where there are some woods. Although we will have some materials we need Hitmen to bring their own rakes, or electric blowers and extension cords. Just remember that pine needles don’t work well with blowers and we will still have dispose of the leaves. If everyone brings whatever bags they have around their house we should have more than enough if we have to bag everything.
